Letting a Women: Never Dare to do That

In Roald Dahl´s story Lamb to Slaughter there is women called Mary who loves her husband but Patrick the husband decides to let her for another women and he does not care. Mary looses her mind and hits Patrick with a Lamb and kills him. She then realizes she kill him and makes up plan to not get blame of the murder of Patrick she goes and buys some things for dinner and acts very well, then she calls the police and cooks the lamb and the police eat it and the evidence dissapear forever and was not blame of the murder.

Mary is like Cruella De Vil she has the same creepy mind as her
Roald Dahl in his story uses very strong examples of imagery and characterization which help us understand the story better without telling us just using words. One example of Imagery is

The violence of the crash, the noise, the small table overturning, helped bring her out of he shock. She came out slowly, feeling cold and surprised, and she stood for a while blinking at the body, still holding the ridiculous piece of meat tight with both hands.

Roald Dahl in this part uses well to describe how the place of murder ended he says the violence of the crash and noise that it was hard and very loud and I have never been in place were glass have been broken and a impressive sound for me that sound was from the sound thunders make. Then how he said the table overturning and a table if it is from desk many papers and other things may fell but I thought of it a dinning table so I imagine the table being turned and all the forks, knifes and spoons and glass of it ended spread all the things.

We can also see Characterization that are very strong to describe Mary isnatead of telling us.

All right, she told herself. So I've killed him.

This is her reaction imagine this living with you.
"What Divorce".

Mary is women that freaks out and never accept bad news without over reacting for a thing like the divorce and she in a way has no emotions because she says that without crying, being scared and without lamenting it. Also she has a sort of Machiavellian mind because of what she does not get blame of the murder. She has issues and should have to control herself.

Lamb to the Slaughter uses strong examples of imagery and characterization what help us visualize the story without telling us she got mad or the place ended terrible they use vocabulary that make us think or imagine. The Theme of the story was to not over react to news and to take care of feelings of others if you made something that will hurt them.

No Real Feelings

The days went on and Jonas stop taking his pills an unexpected day the Elders declared unscheduled holiday. He went to find his best friend Asher and Fiona and other friends started to play a game of war. Jonas remember again the war and he feel sad, different but he knew that his friends would not known what war meant so he felt sorrow for them. At the end of the day his father said that tomorrow they will be releasing a two twins one for the community and other for elsewhere. Jonas went to ask the Giver have ever think of release and he told him that yes. He started to tell him abo
ut the old receiver of memories. She was Rosemary, the Giver had gave her many memories of war, poverty, hunger etc. She could not handle it anymore so asked to be released and the memories came back to the people and the society was tormented with all those feelings. The Giver told Jonas that if he wanted to see the realese of today of the twins and he said yes. He started seeing it and he saw that his parent put a needle in the head of the baby, then the baby end paralized and he put it in box and said bye-bye. Jonas learned that realese means death and the Giver knew it because he saw how Rosemary was killed. He could not go back to his home and they started to create a plan so people can get back the memories, Jonas will escape to Elsewhere in midnight and the Giver is goingto give him some memories, the Giver tells Jonas that Rosemary was her daughter.

After Jonas knows what is realese he tells the Giver that he can't go back to his home. So the Giver tells him that he can stay that night in the Annex. So he tell a quote that I made the analysis of the theme of The Importance of Memories.

The Giver grasped his sholders firmly.Jonas fell silent and stared at him.

"Listen to me, Jonas. They can help it. They know nothing."

"You said that to me once before."

"I said it because it's true. It's the way they live. It's the life that was created for them. It's the same life that you would have, if you had not been chosen as my succesor."

When I was reading I found this quote and I analyzed it. First Jonas Father did not know what he was doing and he was doing his duty so we can't blame him for what he did. But then I thought about the theme of importance of memories. Jonas' Father does not know what he is doing. He can't have real feelings or feel something if he doesn't know it. With the memories you can remeber and feel real things. But without them they haven't know, remeber so they can't feel something real. That is why memories are important to have and to remember and feel real feelings. Then I make a connection to Sparta and the Elders that the both make this thing of killing a baby or someone. In Sparta if a baby was born with some type of problem the baby was let away or killed and the elders send to kill people with no reason. The two of them have somehting similar they don't respect humans rights, they kill who ever they want. There is right of living and why then the both will take away the life of someone innocent that just started living is not fair. What do you think my dear reader.
This is having real memories.

For next week blog I will finish the book but for now I predict that Jonas is going to escpe to Elsewhere but he would have some trouble and the Chief Elder will know about it and try to stop her. Because the Giver let his microphone on.

Jonas is going to escape to a new place where there are real feelings, and is going to let a world full of lies.
